Community Guidelines
Grivio Peer Support is being built as a place where people can feel heard, respected, and supported by others with relevant lived experience. These guidelines explain the standards we expect from everyone in the community.
1. Treat people with respect
Be compassionate, patient, and considerate. Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, discrimination, sexual harassment, or deliberate humiliation are not permitted.
2. Protect privacy
Do not share another person's identity, messages, personal information, photos, or story outside Grivio without clear permission. Avoid posting sensitive identifying details about yourself or others.
3. Speak from lived experience
Share what helped you, what you experienced, and what you learned. Do not present personal experience as medical, legal, or professional advice.
4. Grivio is not emergency or crisis care
Grivio Peer Support is not a replacement for therapy, medical care, emergency services, or crisis intervention. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service.
5. No harmful or exploitative content
Content that encourages self-harm, suicide, violence, abuse, illegal activity, dangerous substance use, exploitation, scams, or coercion is prohibited.
6. No unwanted promotion or solicitation
Do not use Grivio to recruit clients, sell products, request money, promote unrelated services, collect personal information, or pressure people into off-platform contact.
7. Respect boundaries
No one is required to reply, disclose personal details, meet in person, or continue a conversation. Respect another person's decision to pause or end contact.
8. Keep accounts authentic
Do not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts, or misrepresent qualifications, identity, or lived experience.
9. Report concerning behaviour
Use available reporting tools or contact support@griviopeersupport.com if you encounter harmful, unsafe, deceptive, or abusive behaviour.
10. Moderation and enforcement
Grivio Peer Support may review reported content and take action including warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent account removal. Serious safety concerns may be escalated when required by law or necessary to protect people from imminent harm.
11. These guidelines will evolve
As the community grows, these guidelines may be updated to address new risks, features, and community needs. Material updates will be communicated clearly.
